PANASTEREO Corp announces the new MP64 Sub-rack which can be supplied as either a 6-track Magnetic Pre-amplifier Unit or 6-Track Line Input Expander Unit.
The MP64 has been designed for use in cinemas, preview theatres and film production facilities. The MP64 may be configured to contain up to 24 high performance magnetic pre-amplifier channels (4 x 6-track), or up to 24 line input channels (4 x 6-track). The MP64 may contain a mixture of 6-track magnetic pre-amplifiers and 6-track line input modules for special applications.
The MP64 allows a cinema processor with a single 6-track input to be expanded for up to four 6-track inputs. Line inputs may be used for 6-track digital
Features of the new Panastereo MP64 include:
- Flexible configuration allows the use of either magnetic pre-amplifier modules or 6-track line input modules
- Magnetic pre-amplifier modules allow high performance replay of 70mm 6-track and 35mm 4-track mag film formats
- Replay from sep mag systems for film studios and preview theatres.
- Magnetic inputs for up 4 x 6-track projectors, allowing configuration for two-projector systems with both 70mm and 35mm playback heads
- High performance digitally controlled analogue audio circuitry - no DSP circuits.
- State-of-the-art electronically balanced, ultra low noise magnetic preamplifiers.
- Adjustable playback equalization of HF, MF and LF for each pre-amplifier.
- Low noise, low distortion, high headroom 6-track line input modules
- High quality removable Phoenix connectors
- Integral power supply.

Inputs:
Up to 24 (4 groups of x 6) balanced inputs for magnetic tape heads or line inputs for Hard Disk playback systems etc. Systems can be ordered with up to 4 x 6-track preamp cards or any combination of preamp cards and 6-track line inputs cards (up to a total of 4). Each 6-track magnetic preamp card or line input card can be used for 1 x 6 track, 1 x 4 track + 1 x 2 track, 2 x 3 track or 3 x 2 track. All inputs electronically balanced and floating.

All outputs electronically balanced and floating (nominal output level 0dBu).
