
The CSP4600 has been designed for use in cinemas, preview theatres and film production facilities. The CSP4600 may be configured to contain up to 30 magnetic preamplifier channels, plus 6 channels of A-type noise reduction and 6 channels of Panastereo CM353 SR (patent pending) or Dolby Cat280* SR noise reduction. Comprehensive software controlled crosspoint switching is provided for unlimited flexibility in output configuration allowing instant selection between various 6-track, 4-track, 3-track etc. sep mag formats for film production. The system includes playback capability for all 70mm and 35mm magnetic film formats past and present, including TODD-AO and Dolby Formats 40, 41, 42 and 43.
Software control.
The CSP4600 can be fully controlled and configured from any computer system via RS232 / RS485 serial interfaces.

Adjustable playback equalization of HF, MF and LF for each preamplifier.
Software controlled highly flexible crosspoint switching eliminates
the need for audio patch bay systems in multi-format theatres.

Special configuration allows Le to be mixed to L and C, and Re
to be mixed to C and R for TODD-AO to be played on 3 Stage channels.

Up to 30 (5 groups of x 6) balanced inputs for magnetic tape heads or line inputs for Hard Disk playback systems etc. Systems can be ordered with up to 5 x 6-track preamp cards or any combination of preamp cards and 6-track line inputs cards (up to a total of 5). Each 6-track magnetic preamp card or line input card can be used for 1 x 6 track, 1 x 4 track + 1 x 2 track, 2 x 3 track or 3 x 2 track. All inputs electronically balanced and floating.
Outputs:
Left, Center, Right, Left Surround, Right Surround, Sub Bass, Left Extra, Right Extra, Left Total, Right Total.
Le/Re and Lt/Rt outputs balanced and floating and will drive a balanced 600ohm load to +26dBu.
All other outputs unbalanced for direct connection to cinema processors (nominal output level 300mV to suit most cinema processors).
* Dolby Cat280 SR cards must be supplied by the user.
